Amanda Black’s Outfit Sends Twitter into a Tizz

Amanda Black – a singer who is normally known for her exceptional sense of style – has left her fans scratching their heads after she appeared on stage in a significantly more casual outfit than usual.

The 30-year-old “Amazulu” singer performed at the Maseru Jazz Festival in Lomanyaneng Village, North West on Sunday, 24 September, however it appears not everyone was satisfied with the show.

Twitter user, @MsRebaone, took to the social media platform the following day to rant about her experience.

“I paid R250 for a ticket and Amanda Black came like this last night ko Maseru Jazz Festival,” Reba commented as she shared a picture of the singer in a short, colourful summer dress.

Reactions to the post have been mixed, with some tweeps jumping on the bandwagon to slam Black, while others leapt to her defence.

“So let’s say she sang her heart out, it still doesn’t justify her looking like she didn’t bathe, the packaging is a big part of being an artist,” @madamoe tweeted in response. “I doubt any of you show up like this in your jobs but here you are saying as long as she performed, yiyekeni lento yenu, she was wrong for this.”

“Stop judging people how they should be wearing… You went to the event to hear what she sings not what she’s wearing!” @Cellular_jnr replied.
