Babes Wodumo, Mampintsha Booed Off Stage

Cancel culture has apparently caught up to Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo and Babes Wodumo, after they were booed off the stage at a recent music festival in KwaZulu-Natal.

According to reports, the controversial couple took to the stage after 2AM at the Goduka Music Festival, which was held at King Zwelithini Stadium in the Umlazi township.

However, festival-goers were apparently unimpressed with the pair before they even began their set, and proceeded to boo while throwing bottles and litter at them.

Pastor Mjosty, comedian and event organiser, explained what went down: “Babes Wodumo and Mampintsha did arrive at the event, but couldn’t perform … maskandi fans were no longer interested in seeing them, so I advised them to stay backstage for their safety.”

This incident caps off a tumultuous year for the couple: back in March, Mampintsha was arrested, after an Instagram Live video of him allegedly physically assaulting Wodumo emerged on social media.

Wodumo later dropped charges of assault against him, and the pair rekindled their romance, much to the outcry of the public.
