Babes Wodumo to Lay Charges Against Mother-In-Law

Babes Wodumo, whose real name is Bongekile Simelane, intends to open a case against her mother-in-law, Zama Gumede, who accused the Gqom queen of faking her pregnancy.

Simelane and her longtime boyfriend, Mampintsha, whose real name is Mandla Maphumulo tied the knot in a beautiful traditional ceremony over the past weekend in KwaZulu-Natal.

However, Mampintsha’s mother, Zama Gumede, was apparently not invited to the wedding, something that made her very angry.

Fuming Gumede released a video that went viral online, accusing Babes Wodumo of controlling her son, thus excluding her from the wedding preparations.

She also claimed that the “Wololo” hitmaker is wearing a foam belly to fake her pregnancy.

Babes felt embarrassed about the accusations labelled against her by her mother-in-law and now wants to lay charges.

In her defence, Wodumo said that she has remained silent for a long time about the troubled relationship between Mampintsha and his mother due to the respect she has for the family, however, her mother-in-law has been nothing but a pain over the years.

She added: “Mampintsha’s mother was well informed about the wedding and I did everything I was obligated to do as a wife…I chose to love his mother from a distance so they can sort out their differences as mother and son.”
