Black Coffee to Host Free Concert Amid COVID-19 Shutdown
World-renowned music producer and DJ, Black Coffee, has taken to social media to announce that he’ll be offering fans the opportunity to tune into an intimate free online concert, during South Africa’s current period of self-quarantine and social distancing.
The virtual concert is planned to take place on Friday, 20 March at 19:00 SAST.
The DJ’s generosity comes as a result of his belief that music unites, and therefore, the concert will help to lift people’s spirits during this difficult period of self-isolation and quarantine faced by the world.
He tweeted: “Doing an intimate live stream from home to keep spirits high at this incredibly tough time for the world…music unites. Tune in @ 1 PM NYC | 6 PM BCN | 7 PM JNB to http://live.bandsintown.com #OneManBand”.
Black Coffee is the first African DJ to join several international stars who have been offering fans free live-streamed performances, including artists such as John Legend, David Foster, and Chris Martin.
Although the concert is free, people will need internet access for streaming this thoughtful event.
The multi-award-winning DJ also hinted that he is currently working on a new album.
