Boity Thulo Owns the Reality TV Throne

Hot on the heels of Kelly Khumalo and Khanyi Mbau, rapper Boity Thulo is the latest celeb to land her own reality television show.

In an interview with Metro FM on Thursday, 12 December, the “Bakae” hitmaker confirmed that the unscripted, 13-episode show – titled “Boity: Own Your Throne” – is currently in the works.

Two of Thulo’s co-stars include her mother, Modiehi Thulo, and her longtime best friend, Bob Sithole.

She explained: “You’ll see more interactions with my mom. You’ll see how I tackle the world of music. It’ll be my daily, everyday life which is actually on the go, and always busy and filled with so much.”

Thulo added: “I felt like it was now okay to give people a glimpse of my private life. It was just fair for me to give them a piece of what this life really is. It’s not always glitz and glamour.”

The show is set to begin airing on DStv’s BET Africa channel on 5 February next year.
