Actress Brenda Ngxoli is coming soon to South Africa’s favourite telenovela series, “The Queen”.
The 39-year-old actress – who recently won the award for Best Supporting TV Actress for her role as Nomonde in “Ithemba” at the South African Film and Television Awards – confirmed she will be joining the telenovela on Twitter.
In a tweet posted on Sunday, 10 May, she wrote: “What An Amazing Week [sic] it’s been, Safta Win, Mzantsi [sic] and now I’m joining my Favorite Show [sic] which I watched religiously when I was in them [sic] villages.”
Ngxoli will be playing NomaPrincess ‘Noma’ Matshikiza, a friend of Harriet who owes her millions of rands in debt.
Speaking to a media outlet, an excited Ngxoli stated: “The best way to put it is to say that the gods have chosen to favour me. I will put my gratitude into action by giving quality work.”
She added: “I’m also indebted to South African audiences that have never forgotten about me when I was not even on any production. Their continued support is appreciated.”
