Cassper Quits Alcohol Until Billiato Launches

Cassper Nyovest took to Twitter on Monday to announce that he has taken a break from alcohol until the official launch of his own premium alcohol brand, ‘Billiato’.

He said: “That’s it! I’m not drinking any more alcohol until I drop Billiato in stores this December! That’s all we are drinking this festive season. Don Billiato on ice!”

Nyovest has not yet revealed whether his alcohol brand is a range of gin or vodka, saying only that people are going to experience a “taste of wealth.”

The brand name was inspired by his dream of becoming a billionaire – he began calling himself Don Billiato – but the rhyme was also influenced by Vaal township culture.

He explained: “It’s taken from the word Billion. It’s a state of mind. It’s also taken from culture in a township called Vaal in South Africa. They consider themselves to be Italians. So it’s (Billiato) it’s Ghetto fabulous.”

Billiato is expected to be available on South African alcohol shelves in November 2021.
