Davido Announces Debut UK Festival

Nigerian-American afrobeats superstar Davido officially made history on Monday, 23 March, by announcing his first-ever curated music festival in the United Kingdom. 

Titled Davido & Friends Festival, the landmark event is scheduled for Friday, 14 August 2026, at the iconic Crystal Palace Bowl in South London.

The festival forms a cornerstone of the newly launched “Palace Bowl Presents” summer concert series, which aims to revitalize the historic 15,000-capacity open-air amphitheater.

In a video shared with his millions of followers, the 33-year-old singer expressed his excitement, stating: “Yo my people of London… for the first time, I present to you, Davido and Friends outdoor show. This will be my only outdoor show I’m performing at this summer in London.”

Beyond headlining, Davido will personally curate the lineup, promising a celebration of global music culture. While supporting acts (the titular “friends”) remain under wraps, the announcement follows the massive success of his 2025 album 5ive and his upcoming April appearance at Coachella 2026.

Fans eager to attend the “Defining moment for Afrobeats in the UK” can access pre-sale tickets starting Thursday, 26 March, at 10:00 AM GMT, with general sales opening the following day.
