
Davido Prepares to Drop Star-Studded Album
Afrobeats sensation Davido is hyping up his upcoming fifth studio album, “5ive”, which drops this Friday, 18 April.
The 32-year-old Nigerian muso shared the official tracklist via Instagram on Monday, 14 April, hinting at a project rich in cross-cultural collaborations and packed with global appeal.
“5ive” brings together a vibrant mix of local and international acts. Nigerian artists Victony, Omah Lay, OdumoduBlvck and Chike make appearances, alongside South African producer and artist Musa Keys, who previously worked with Davido on the Grammy-nominated track, “Unavailable”.
International features include American R&B star Chris Brown, Grammy-nominated singer Victoria Monet, Latin pop artist Becky G, and Jamaican talents Shenseea and 450. French stars Tayc and Dadju round off the roster.
Early singles such as “Awuke” and “Funds” have already sparked excitement, highlighting Davido’s dedication to evolving Afrobeats while maintaining its roots. The album aims to showcase his growth as both a global artist and a collaborator with wide-ranging musical influences.
With “5ive”, the musician continues to redefine the soundscape of modern Afrobeats, promising fans a diverse, genre-blending experience.
