DJ Fresh Denies Sexual Assault Claims

Thato “DJ Fresh” Sikwane has denied the sexual assault allegations that were made against him by his ex-girlfriend on social media.

Last Friday, 6 September, radio personality Penny Lebyane revealed on Twitter that her ex-boyfriend – whom she did not name – allegedly engaged in inappropriate relationships with under-aged girls while they were dating.

Additionally, she accused him of possessing pictures of nude, under-age girls that were stored on his computer.

Social media users immediately identified the ex-boyfriend as DJ Fresh, who released a statement via Twitter on Tuesday, 10 September to blast the claims.

In the statement, the radio personality said: “The current allegations are false and without basis. They have been made and published recklessly. The fight against Gender Based Violence [sic] is one of the biggest battles in our country, and it saddens me that the focus is being shifted from real issues and perpetrators.”

He added: “Due to the implications of the most recent statements, the matter has been referred to my attorneys to handle, and I am not in a position to comment at this time.”
