Edoho Abuse Allegations Fallout
The public fallout between veteran broadcaster Frank Edoho and his estranged wife, Sandra Onyenucheya, has sparked a massive national conversation regarding domestic abuse and male vulnerability. On 14 May Onyenucheya released an explosive statement accusing the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire host of sustained infidelity, financial recklessness, and emotional abuse, including allegations that he pressured her to terminate a pregnancy.
Edoho responded in a candid interview on the Outside The Box podcast, where he characterised himself as a victim of the “daunting task of manhood.” He stated, “Men don’t speak. Men go through a lot… some of them go to the grave with it.” He further addressed the toxic nature of their separation, admitting to a two-year private crisis: “For two years… I was in a very dark hole but nobody knew.”
The controversy deepened when Edoho counter-accused Onyenucheya of infidelity, alleging a betrayal that contributed to their split. Reflecting on the emotional toll, Edoho remarked, “I don’t want to go to the gates of heaven and they ask me what killed me and they say it’s a woman.” While industry figures like Do2dtun have publicly supported Edoho, others have criticised his admission of “punishing” his wife with silence as a form of psychological abuse.
