Haibo! Ranaka Fired for Refusing to Abort Her Baby

Generation: The Legacy actress, Manaka Ranaka, took to social media to wish her first daughter, Katlego Ranaka, a cheerful 20th birthday with a memorable childhood picture.

The actress also reflected on being given a nasty pregnancy ultimatum, at the time.

In an emotional Instagram post, Ranaka revealed how her previous employer fired her for refusing to terminate her pregnancy – a decision she is now proud of.

She wrote: “I remember when women I worked for told me to abort you [Katlego Ranaka] and I was like la hlanya (y’all are crazy), they fired me!”

The multi award winning actress further disclosed that despite being young at the time, she was very determined to keep the pregnancy.

She said: “Lauren Hill’s song, Zion, kept me going when I felt that the world was against us. I was ready man, as young as they said I was, I was ready for you. A journey I would repeat any day.”

A few weeks ago, Ranaka, welcomed her granddaughter, and also announced that she was preparing to take maternity leave and looking forward to becoming a mother again.

The heavily pregnant soapie star is just weeks away from welcoming her third child.
