Halala! Jerusalema Goes Platinum in Italy & Ronaldo Approves

Master KG’s worldwide dance anthem “Jerusalema” keeps breaking records – flying the Mzansi flag across the globe. The song has set a new South African Youtube views record, been certified platinum and received love from Cristiano Ronaldo.

On Thursday, 27 August, Master KG announced on social media that the smashing song had hit 100-million views on Youtube, making him the first South African artist to reach that milestone.

Within three days of the Limpopo born star celebrating this massive achievement, the global dance sensation was certified platinum status in Italy.

Master KG took to Twitter to express his happiness over the song’s latest accomplishment, and retweeted a post from a certified Warner Music Italy account.
The tweet was written in Italian and is translated as: “Everyone dances Jerusalema, 9 million posts on Instagram, 100 million views on YouTube and 130 million contents on TikTok are just some numbers of the success of the summer hit which today wins the Platinum certification #Fimiaward”.

On Tuesday, 01 September, Cristiano Ronaldo shared on Instagram an intimate video of his family gathering with ‘Jerusalema’ playing as the soundtrack.

The local muso responded to Ronaldo’s post and said: “Thank you a lot big brother for supporting Jerusalema, from South Africa we love you”.
