The couple, who captivated viewers as on-screen lovers Shoki and Nkosi Zwide, officially tied the knot in a vibrant cultural ceremony held over the weekend of 4 May 2026.

The celebration was a stylish fusion of tradition and glamour. Sekhabi dazzled in multiple outfits, including a black-and-white geometric gown inspired by Zulu attire and a white beaded headpiece, later changing into a stunning maroon off-shoulder mini dress. The event marks a full-circle moment for the pair, who met on the set of the hit telenovela.

Reflecting on her journey when she exited the show in July 2025, Sekhabi noted the profound impact of the production on her life. “It’s because of this character that I’ve become a household name and got my start in this industry,” she previously shared. “I will miss playing Shoki. I played her for four years and most of you know me as her.”

The couple announced their engagement in October 2025 after months of speculation. Fans have flooded social media with congratulations, celebrating the “fairytale” transition of their chemistry from the small screen to a real-life marriage.
