J. Martins Survives Terrifying Highway Car Crash

Nigerian Afrobeats singer J. Martins narrowly escaped death after being involved in a car accident along the Enugu-Aba-Port Harcourt expressway in southern Nigeria on Monday, 27 October.

The 46-year-old musician – whose full name is Martins Justice – said his vehicle suffered a brake failure, causing it to veer off the highway and plunge into a bush at high speed. Recalling the incident, he described it as “terrible” but thanked God for sparing his life.

Fortunately, J. Martins — who also serves as the Senior Special Assistant to the Abia State Governor on Tourism and Entertainment — walked away from the crash without any injuries. Fans and colleagues have since expressed relief over his safety.

Known for chart-topping hits such as “Oyoyo,” “Jupa,” “Good or Bad,” and “Cool Temper,” the artist has also collaborated with stars including P-Square, Phyno, YCEE, Fally Ipupa, DJ Arafat, Koffi Olomide, and Timaya.

Despite the frightening ordeal, J. Martins reassured supporters that he is recovering well and remains thankful to God for his safety.
