Jub Jub Launches Lawsuit Against Moja Love

March 03, 2023

A few days ago, Moja Love dismissed Jub Jub as host of the popular reality show which centres around cheating couples.

Also, they allegedly refused to pay his January salary after he failed to publicly apologise to his female business partner, Keabetswe Mokoena, who had accused him of verbal assault.

Now, the 42-year-old – real name Molemo Maarohanye – is planning to sue the network for R100 million, having filed a lawsuit at the Johannesburg High Court on Monday, 27 February. Per the court documents, he is suing them for both breach of contract and withholding his salary.

“It is obligatory and in terms of the contract that my salary is deposited directly into my bank account on a monthly basis,” these documents read. “To my surprise, I learnt that at the end of January to even up to 2 February 2023, I had not received my salary.”

The R100 million includes R50 000 in unpaid performances bonuses, R82 million for his likeness and music being used by Moja Love to promote “Uyajola 9/9”, and R8 million for a five-year contract renewal.

Moja Love has yet to comment on this development.
