Kanye West SA Concert: Tickets On Sale but Fans Wary

Kanye “Ye” West’s long-rumoured concert is edging closer to reality, with TicketPro confirming that pre-sale tickets are live for the 13 December 2025 show at Ellis Park Stadium in Johannesburg, Gauteng.

Prices range from R850 to nearly R5 000, and sales are limited to fans who registered in advance.

But while anticipation is high, so too is scepticism. Fans have flagged a string of issues, raising doubts about the event’s legitimacy. These include spelling and grammatical errors in an official TicketPro email, as well as claims that the Monyake Group has been deleting comments from sceptical users on its social media pages.

Adding to these concerns, TicketPro’s website carries a clear disclaimer: “TicketPro expressly points out that TicketPro is not the organiser, but only sells tickets on behalf of the organiser.”

Circulating screenshots from BizPortal have also alleged that the Monyake Group has been deregistered, intensifying suspicion.

The company is largely known for gospel and faith-based productions, raising doubts over its ability to handle a stadium concert of this scale.

Despite this, both TicketPro and Monyake Group continue to promote the event, with the organiser insisting it has the experience to deliver a show of this scale. For now, South African fans remain caught between excitement at Ye’s possible return and fears of another concert disappointment.
