Kanye West’s South African Concert Finally Confirmed
After weeks of confusion, the long-awaited Ye live concert in South Africa has been officially confirmed.
The Monyake Group announced that Kanye West – now known as “Ye” – will perform at Ellis Park Stadium in Johannesburg, Gauteng, on 13 December 2025, marking his first return to the country in over a decade.
Speculation regarding the event began in September, when Ye shared a promotional poster on X/Twitter. Fans’ excitement quickly turned to doubt after a faulty TicketPro link and a series of online allegations, including claims of non-payment and company deregistration, came to light.
In response, Monyake Group issued a firm statement on Sunday, 26 October, assuring fans that its agreement with Yeezy LLC is “valid and in good standing”, dismissing the rumours as “false”. The company emphasised that all preparations are proceeding as planned and urged the public to trust only official updates.
Tickets for the one-night-only performance are now on sale, ranging from R850 to R4 865, with the 48-year-old musician’s production team reportedly having already scouted the venue. Despite earlier uncertainty, it appears South African fans can finally look forward to Ye’s long-promised return.
