Katlego Maboe’s Ex Takes Thinly Veiled Swipe

It appears that Katlego Maboe’s ex, Monique Muller, has lashed out at the presenter after his return to the “Expresso Morning Show”.

In 2020, Muller recorded Maboe confessing that he had cheated on her, before going on to accuse him of abusing her. After a lengthy court battle that lasted two years, he was found not guilty.

Muller made several Instagram stories – starting just hours after the TV show aired on Monday, 8 August, and continuing into Women’s Day on Tuesday, 9 August – during which she discussed actor Johnny Depp’s recently released court documents.

The unsealed documents contained over 6 000 pages of material Depp’s legal team withheld from the actor’s trial with ex-wife Amber Heard, including texts he sent that alluded to assaulting the actress.

The former model opened by saying, “It’s actually pathetic how facts don’t matter. The whole media thing is BS. I have a right to my opinion.”

She went on: “I hope this opens up everyone’s eyes and minds to the fact that you do not know the full story. Just because you saw the manipulated version Johnny Depp’s team wanted you to see.

“Instead of spreading hate, put all that energy into fighting [gender-based violence]. Something that actually involves and affects all of us as South Africans.”

In a separate IG story, the mother of one went on to say, “That is the wonderful thing about time. The truth always prevails.”
