Kelly Khumalo, Khanyi Mbau Take Over Reality TV

Step aside, Bonang Matheba – Kelly Khumalo and Khanyi Mbau have just landed their own reality television shows.

The two shows are set to air on DStv’s 1Magic channel next year, as confirmed on Thursday, 21 November, at the Multichoice Media Showcase in Sandton, Johannesburg.

Khumalo – who has been surrounded by controversy in the last couple of years, especially in the aftermath of her then-boyfriend Senzo Meyiwa’s murder in 2013 – will star in “Life with Kelly.”

Produced by the team behind “Being Bonang”, “Life with Kelly” will take viewers behind the scenes of her private life.

However, it is speculated that the “Asine” hitmaker is also using the show to rebrand her image, one tainted by accusations of being directly involved in Meyiwa’s murder.

Meanwhile, Mbau’s show – titled “I Am Khanyi” – will also offer viewers a tantalising glimpse into her private life, one dominated by allegations of skin-bleaching and gold-digging.

Both shows are scheduled to debut in April 2020.
