Kelly Khumalo Slams Teffo Over Senzo Murder Allegations
Kelly Khumalo has fiercely hit back at disbarred attorney Malesela Teffo, who reignited controversy by claiming she accidentally shot and killed her former partner, footballer Senzo Meyiwa.
Appearing on the Thursday, 17 July, episode of “Podcast and Chill”, Teffo alleged that Meyiwa died in 2014 during a scuffle involving Longwe Twala at Khumalo’s family home in Vosloorus, Gauteng. His version contradicts police evidence presented in court, which points to a contract killing allegedly ordered by Khumalo, despite there being no direct proof linking her to the suspects on trial.
Fed up with what she called years of public humiliation, Khumalo posted a defiant video via Instagram this morning, Friday 18 July, refusing to engage further through legal representatives.
“Enough is enough. It stops here and it stops today,” she declared. “If you strongly believe I’m capable of such a crime, it’s simple: come and get me. I am not above the law.”
The 40-year-old Afro-pop star has consistently denied any involvement in Meyiwa’s murder and her stance has not changed. Her fiery response comes as the long-running trial continues at the Pretoria High Court, with public scrutiny around her role in the case growing louder.
Still, Khumalo remains resolute: “I fear no one. Until then, back off.”
