Kelly Khumalo Won’t Let Son See His Father

Social media users are putting musician Kelly Khumalo on blast, after she revealed that she does not let her ex-boyfriend, singer Molemo “Jub Jub” Maarohanye, see their son.

The former couple were previously in an allegedly physically abusive relationship. Together, they share a nine-year-old son, Christian.

In 2010, Jub Jub was arrested for a drag-racing incident that left four schoolchildren dead. He was released from prison in 2017 and promised to turn his life around.

However, in a recent interview with host Pearl Thusi on the television talk show, “Behind The Story”, Khumalo said that she can raise their son without him.

She explained “I’m raising an honourable man the best way I know how, and [the abuse] I have experienced at the hands of [Jub Jub] is enough for me to close the door completely.”

One critical user wrote: “Parents don’t have to like each other, but parenting is a joint effort. The boy needs his dad.”

Another added: “Ppl [sic] learn from their mistakes and change, and [Khumalo’s] son needs to have a relationship with his father.”
