Mampintsha Proposes to Babes Wodumo

Mzansi’s most controversial couple, Bongekile “Babes Wodumo” Simelane and Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo, are officially engaged.

Per reports, Mampintsha popped the question during a live radio interview with “Gagasi FM” on Thursday afternoon, 29 October.

In video footage taken from the interview, the 38-year-old musician is seen going down on his knee, holding out a ring box, and saying to Wodumo in isiZulu: “I want you to make me the happiest man alive. I want to be part of your mess. We have been dating for quite some time, so I would like to make it official.”

The 26-year-old “Wololo” hitmaker is then heard accepting the proposal before embracing her fiance.

While congratulatory messages from fans have poured in for the couple, others have branded the proposal as a mere publicity stunt.

Wodumo and Mampintsha’s engagement comes a year after the former pressed – and subsequently dropped – assault charges against the latter, who allegedly physically assaulted her during an Instagram Live video.
