Metro FM Awards 2025: Fashion, Music and Star Power Shine

The 2025 Metro FM Music Awards (MMAs) are set to take place tomorrow, Saturday 3 May, promising an unforgettable celebration of South African music and fashion.

With the theme “Crowning Greatness”, the event at Mbombela Stadium in Mpumalanga will honour the best music of the past year across 19 categories, including Amapiano, hip-hop, R&B, and gospel.

A highlight of the evening will be the black carpet, where radio personality Mpumi Mlambo – who will be co-hosting with Anele Zondo – will spotlight the fashion choices of A-list stars. Known for her daring style, Mlambo intends to keep it elegant and understated this year in order to capture the best fashion moments.

The awards ceremony follows a star-studded music festival, featuring performances from DJ Maphorisa, K.O., Makhadzi, and Kabza De Small, among others. Metro FM continues to set trends, with an emphasis on both music and fashion as central to the celebration.

With 2 769 entries this year, the MMAs promise to showcase the incredible talent driving South African music forward, making it a night to remember.
