“Muvhango” Star Arrested for Road Rage Assault

Actor Dingaan Mokebe ka Khumalo is reportedly set to appear in Booysens magistrate’s court today, Monday 19 August, after he allegedly assaulted a woman in a fit of road rage.

According to police reports, the incident occurred took place last Monday morning, 12 August, on the Xavier Road offramp on the N1 highway in Johannesburg.

The woman – identified as Chaan Botha – alleges that Mokebe drove past without giving her a chance to turn into the right-hand lane.

Botha believes that her throwing her hands in the air in protest ultimately led to the “Muvhango” star cutting in front of her vehicle and blocking it.

After demanding her to open her window, he then proceeded to insult her, before punching her several times in the face.

Mokebe was arrested and charged with common assault. However, he has apparently laid a counter charge of assault against Botha, in which he claims that she used the K-word and slapped him.

The actor says he also plans to take the matter to the Human Rights Commission.
