Nina Hastie Fires Back at Body-Shamer

Comedienne Nina Hastie has come out guns blazing against one of her Instagram followers who dared to body-shame her.

Hastie shared a screenshot of the unidentified follower’s cheeky comment – which she left in the 36-year-old entertainer’s direct messages – to her Instagram account.

The comment reads: “Nina you’ve gained some weight neh [sic]?! Still love you and lot [sic] judging … hahah [sic] you’re still beautiful, just an observation.”

In a lengthy post accompanying the screenshot, Hastie explained that her weight gain was a result of suffering from glandular fever this year – which left her unable to exercise – and “some insulin absorption issues”.

She also had some choice words for the so-called fan, as well as for other body-shamers out there.

Hastie wrote: “I will post my fat 36 year old [sic] stomach on this app with hardly any clothing because this year I’ve also achieved some … astounding things in my professional and personal life – not all of which your simple little mind is privy to.”
