Nomzamo Mbatha’s Manager Slams “Meltdown” Claims

Nomzamo Mbatha’s manager has dismissed claims that her client experienced a “meltdown” while recording a video that recently went viral.

In the clip – which was taken from an Instagram Live session held over the holiday weekend – a fan asks Mbatha for advice about dealing with heartbreak.

The “Coming 2 America” actress then gives a puzzling response, punctuated with nervous laughter: “I don’t know what you’re talking about, okay. We are strong. We are moving. Don’t know her. What do you mean? … What’s a heartbreak? Is it a mall? Is it a name of a street?”

The 27-year-old star subsequently deactivated her Twitter account after the clip went viral.

Fans attributed Mbatha’s odd behaviour to a meltdown borne of her 2018 break-up with television presenter, Masego “Maps” Maponyane.

However, her manager, Pumza Nohashe, defended her client during a recent interview, saying: “Anyone with half a brain and being an authentic follower of hers should see that [Mbatha] is a fun and lighthearted person.”

She scathingly added: “[Mbatha] suffers no more issues than the unqualified Twitter psychologists who are currently diagnosing her every facial muscle movement.”
