Ox Nche Rings in 30th Birthday with Star-Studded Bash

Springbok Retshegofaditswe “Ox” Nche marked his 30th birthday in style with a lavish black-and-white celebration in his hometown of Bloemfontein, Free State.

Surrounded by family, friends and famous faces on Saturday, 26 July, the beloved prop shared joyful moments from the party via Instagram, writing: “The 3rd floor… Thank God for the wonderful life. Thank you for all the birthday wishes. Thank you to all the friends and family in my life. I love you guys.”

Among the guests was former Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns winger George Lebese, who said: “A special day celebrating a real champion – Happy Birthday to Ox Nche! Grateful to be part of such good energy and great company.”

Fans flooded Instagram with warm messages for Nche, who has become one of rugby’s top loosehead props with 40 Test caps for the Springboks. Off the pitch, the prop is celebrated for his humour, charisma and love of cake.

From his early days at HTS Louis Botha to winning the Currie Cup and making his Test debut in 2018, Nche’s career continues to inspire and his 30th birthday proved just how admired he is.
