Phat Joe Apologises to Anele Mdoda
Radio presenter, Phat Joe, has apologised to Anele Mdoda over the disparaging comments he made about her joining the judging panel of the Miss South Africa pageant.
Phat Joe set the Twitter streets ablaze on Wednesday morning, 7 August, after he made spicy remarks on his “Radio 2000” show segment about the television personality’s appointment.
He claimed that the appointment was the result of “affirmative action”.
In response, Mdoda went on the warpath – she fired back at Phat Joe, calling him a “washout” and blasting his inability to hold down a radio DJing job.
Later that same day, Mdoda tweeted that Phat Joe had called to apologise to her.
She wrote: “I accept [Phat Joe’s] apology. Naturally, he thought he was joking, and it didn’t land well on me. I appreciate the fact that he did not want to dictate how I reacted in my defense to what he believed was said in jest. We live. We err. We heal.”
The SABC is reportedly investigating the matter.
