Rachel Kolisi Reclaims Narrative with New Memoir at 36
Rachel Kolisi has announced the launch of her memoir, “Falling Forward”, set for release in March 2026.
Written alongside Zibu Sithole and published by Pan Macmillan South Africa, the book coincides with a documentary of the same name. Kolisi aims to use these platforms to reclaim her identity and correct public misconceptions.
“There are stories you can tell on camera, and then there are the truths that need the quiet space of a page to be fully understood,” Kolisi shared via Instagram on Thursday, 22 January.
The announcement follows her 36th birthday the day before, Wednesday 21 January, a milestone she celebrated amid her divorce from Springbok captain Siya Kolisi. Despite the personal transition, she received an outpouring of social media tributes from family and friends, including several prominent Springbok wives.
Reflecting on her growth and faith, Kolisi shared on Instagram: “I’m feeling so ready and excited for year 36!”
The “Falling Forward” roadshow begins in March, with the memoir reaching general bookstores by mid-month. Kolisi hopes her story of “breaking and rebuilding” will inspire a movement for women to own their voices.
