Rethabile Khumalo Survives Car Accident

Singer and songwriter, Rethabile Khumalo, is slowly but surely recovering from a recent car accident.

Taking to Twitter on Monday, 4 May, the “Umlilo” hitmaker’s mother, songstress Winnie Khumalo, revealed to her followers that her daughter was involved in the crash and sustained injuries.

She wrote: “Hi, friends. I would like to inform you that Rethabile was in a car accident and she is badly hurt. Your prayers will be highly appreciated.”

Speaking to a media outlet from an unidentified hospital that same day, Khumalo confirmed her mother’s news, although she did not go into specifics about the accident.

She said: “I don’t want to go into details of the accident as it traumatised me. I luckily wasn’t badly injured. I suffered some bruises on my face that might leave scarring, but I will be fine. Please let my fans know that I will be fine.”

That evening, the 24-year-old singer – with visible swelling and a bandaged eye – performed new music via the JOOX streaming music app.
