“Scandal!” Producers: Hungani Ndlovu Has Not Been Fired

False alarm, folks – the producers of “Scandal!” have dismissed reports that Hungani Ndlovu is leaving the show.

Most recently, an article by a local media outlet claimed that Ndlovu – best known for playing Romeo Medupe – was fired from the popular soapie for allegedly getting into a physical altercation with former castmate, Masasa Mbangeni, following a fallout.

Sources claimed that the 26-year-old actor had a “big ego”, which – along with his refusal to apologise to Mbangeni – led the “Scandal!” producers to fire him.

However, on Sunday, 23 August, the producers took to the soapie’s official Twitter account to dismiss these false reports.

They wrote: “There’s a published article circulating around that [Ndlovu] is leaving the show. As #etvScandal [sic], we’re disputing every allegation stated in the article. [Ndlovu] has not been fired by production. We’re happy with his excellent professionalism and work ethic.”

Looks like Ndlovu is sticking around for the foreseeable future!
