Sho Madjozi & Busiswa Make CNN’s Top 10 African Artists

November 27, 2019

CNN has released a list of the top ten biggest artists in Africa, and two of our very own, Sho Madjozi and Busiswa Gqulu, have been included among the best on the continent.

Sho Madjozi’s energetic talent is not only taking Mzansi by storm, but shaking tables globally too.

Just two week ago, the Tsonga rapper was featured on Kelly Clarkson’s US show – followed by John Cena’s offer to include her song in his upcoming film – and so now Sho is being recognised internationally as one of Africa’s best music stars.

Another South African energetic new age performance poet, song-writter and gqom star, Busiswa – who is also raising the Mzansi flag high internationally and was recently featured on Beyoncé’s new album The Lion King: The Gift – made the list.

Busiswa, filled with excitement, took to Twitter to break the news with the caption: “I won’t even front. I can’t believe I’m on this list, YIKESSSS!!!”

Nigeria dominated the list with five artists being included: Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, Mr Eazi and Wizkid.
