Somizi Mhlongo Blasts Fake Facebook Accounts

Choreographer and entertainer, Somizi Mhlongo, is on the warpath after exposing fake Facebook accounts created in his name.

Taking to Instagram and Twitter on Thursday, 16 July, the 47-year-old “Idols SA” judge showed his followers screenshots of at least four fraudulent Facebook pages bearing names such as “Somizi Somgaga Official” and “Somizi ‘Somgaga’ Mhlongo”.

The latter account is especially notorious for sharing fake news and taking jabs at other celebrities.

In the caption of the Instagram post, Mhlongo wrote: “People have energy … my real account on Facebook is SOMIZI BUYANI [sic].”

In the caption of the Twitter post, he gave a more detailed – and frustrated – explanation.

He explained: “Facebook is having a field day with fake accounts using my name … these are just 4 [sic] of many … my only account SOMIZI BUYANI [sic] … which I’m on the verge of completely discontinuing it if this problem is not fixed this time.”

Consider this a final warning, Facebook users!
