Actress Thuli Phongolo has claimed that she was offered serious money to be in a fake romantic relationship with a musical artist.

Taking to Twitter on Thursday, 31 October, the former “Generations: The Legacy” star revealed to her surprised followers that she was offered a cool R100 000 to partake in the ploy.

The 25-year-old actress wrote: “There’s an artist that offered to pay me a 100k [sic] to act like we’re dating prior to his album release … my team and I have heard it all!”

The artist in question has yet to be identified. However, that has not stopped Phongolo’s followers from guessing who it was.

One fan wrote: “Donald phakama [sic] we know it’s you.”

Another wrote: “Nasty C is actually the one close to releasing.”

Meanwhile, other users believed that Phongolo should not have turned down the offer, with one humorously remarking: “Honestly, I would’ve taken the 100k [sic], on contract that we breakup in 4 months [sic] time though. easy kash [sic].”
