TNS Blasted for Ditching Music Event
Music producer and vocalist, TNS, is in trouble after an organiser accused him of failing to perform at an event held in Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal last year.
Speaking to a media outlet recently, Sbu Mkhulise explained that he and his fellow organisers paid the “Make Money” hitmaker R15 000 to perform at the Newcastle Amcor Dam Music Festival, which was scheduled for 27 December 2019.
He said: “[TNS] did not explain to us why he failed to pitch for his performance. We even urged him to at least refund us the money we paid to him. Instead, he spoke out of turn and insulted us.”
The outlet then contacted TNS – real name Sthembiso Ngema – for comment. He referred them to his manager, Ayanda Mthembu, who confirmed that his client did receive the payment.
However, Mthembu claims that the organisers did not send them proof of payment until January this year, hence why TNS ditched the event.
He said: “We were not prepared to attend an event that we were not certain if they paid or not.”
Time will tell if TNS will ever make like former President Jacob Zuma, and pay back the money.
