Tyla and Wizkid Drop Explosive ‘Dynamite’ Visuals

Afrobeats heavyweight Wizkid has brought his signature flair to “Dynamite”, the standout track on Tyla’s new EP, “WWP (We Wanna Party)”.

The pair’s long-awaited collaboration has taken the music world by storm, racking up over six million Spotify streams in its first week.

The striking music video – which was filmed in Morocco and released on Monday, 4 August – sees Wizkid and the South African songstress move through sun-drenched scenes before a dramatic, action-film-style explosion caps things off.

Wizkid’s calm charisma and smooth delivery anchor the track, adding depth and polish to the sultry, rhythm-driven production.

The collaboration began in 2022 after Tyla spotted the 35-year-old Nigerian muso in a Lagos hotel lobby and messaged him on a whim. “I DM’d[sic] him. I was like, ‘I saw you in the lobby. Can I come play you some music?’” she recently told an international radio station.

Impressed, he invited her to a recording session in Ghana, where the two artists laid down a demo.

Though it remained unfinished for years, Wizkid later returned to the song at Tyla’s request, helping her complete the project in time for her latest release. The result? A polished, cross-continental hit that fuses their talents and proves Wizkid’s ability to elevate any track he touches.
