Tyla Drops Sultry New Hit, “Is It”

South African pop star Tyla has unveiled her latest steamy, Amapiano-infused single, “Is It”, which sees her return to her signature flirtatious club sound today, Friday 11 July.

Produced by Sammy Soso, the release follows her emotive ballad “Bliss”, which she premiered at Coachella earlier this year.

The accompanying music video – directed by Aerin Moreno – showcases the 23-year-old songstress’ signature choreography, unfolding through a seamless transition from solo performance to a duet, and then into a high-energy party scene, all without ever leaving the room.

“I’m excited to see this new version of me and hear what it sounds like, and just have fun with it – just bring back fun in music,” she told an international magazine on the day the single dropped.

“Is It” has already been gaining traction on TikTok, and adds to what has been a standout year for Tyla. She’s performed for a record-breaking crowd at Poland’s Open’er Festival, hosted the Kids’ Choice Awards, and contributed to the “Smurfs” film’s soundtrack.

Her next is headlining the Tipsy Music Festival in Barbados later this month, before taking to the stage at All Points East in London, England, on 23 August.
