Uncle Waffles Invited to EPL Star’s Birthday Bash

Mzansi is proudly watching on as Uncle Waffles looks set to become an even bigger international sensation. 

The DJ has been asked by Nottingham Forest footballer, Jesse Lingard, to perform at his birthday party, in an Instagram post made on Monday, 25 July. The post came after a video was shared of the artist’s Amsterdam leg of her European tour.

Uncle Waffles – real name Lungelihle Zwane – responded on Twitter the next day, saying, “That’s crazy…WHAT!! [sic]”, along with a shocked, crying emoji. 

The DJ’s fans, however, are less certain about Lingard. Their responses have been mixed, with many praising the news while others are less excited.

One follower named Thabo Ledwava tweeted: “He just wanna smash.”

Others were more positive, as one follower called “The Instigator” said: “Uncle Waffles is proof that when it’s your time then surely it’s your time.”

Waffles does, however, know her own worth: her rate card was recently released, in which it was revealed that she charged as much as $18 000 for international indoor events.

At the moment, it’s unclear whether Uncle Waffles has decided to appear at the English midfielder’s birthday celebrations in December. Stay tuned to find out!
