“Uzalo” Star is NOT Leaving the Show

Dawn Thandeka King is not leaving “Uzalo” anytime soon.

Last month, reports began cropping up that the 42-year-old actress – best known for playing MaNgcobo on the popular soapie – was not on good terms with the show’s producers after she supposedly asked them for a salary increase.

An anonymous source had claimed that King also exhibited diva-like behaviour on set.

The source explained: “[King’s] attitude recently isn’t doing her any favours. She makes the writers and directors’ jobs difficult because she sometimes demands to change the story-lines [sic].”

However, the administrator of the “Uzalo” Instagram page put these rumours to rest when a user named @lindacotsa queried about it.

In the comment section underneath a photo – which shows a soapie magazine cover featuring “Uzalo” characters – posted on Sunday, 12 July, the user asked: “Isit [sic] true that Maa Ngcobo is leaving Uzalo [sic]?”

In response, the administrator simply wrote: “No.”

At least fans can rest knowing that King is sticking around – for now!
