Vusi Nova Denies Drugs Accusations

July 21, 2021

Media personality and musician, Vusi Nova, has denied allegations that Muthaland Entertainment owner, Lance Stehr, introduces drugs to his artists to stop them from making the right decisions.

Last weekend, Bongani Fassie, the son of the late veteran singer Brenda Fassie, spilt the beans during last weekend’s episode of his reality show, Finding Bongani.

In the episode, Fassie became candid about his battle with drug addiction, and blamed Stehr for giving him his first cocaine hit while he was at the peak of his career.

Veteran artist, Mercy Phakela, also jumped in to solidify Fassie’s claims, saying Stehr offers young artists narcotics so that they don’t think straight.

Nova, who is signed by Muthaland Entertainment, took to Instagram to rubbish the allegations.

He said: “Really? He gives drugs to his artists so that they aren’t able to think for themselves? I have known Lance for eight years, I have never seen Lance doing drugs, I have never seen Lance giving any artist drugs, he certainly never gave me drugs.”

Other South African artists who have worked with Stehr, such as DaLes, Ready D, Ntando, and Ishmael Morabe also came forward to defend the record label owner.
