Zenande Mfenyana: Hands Off the Fergusons
Actress Zenande Mfenyana has come to the defence of Connie and Shona Ferguson, following allegations of mistreating their employees on “The Queen”.
Over the recent months, several major cast members – including Khanya Mkangi, Rami Chuene, and most recently Dineo Langa – have either left or been fired from the show, which was created by the Fergusons in 2016.
Being underpaid by the couple, as well as enduring unfair conditions while working on “The Queen”, are rumoured to be the factors behind these actors’ terminations.
However, Mfenyana – who plays Goodness Mabusa on the show – slammed those who attacked her bosses online.
Recently taking to Twitter, she wrote in a now-deleted tweet: “Don’t for one second assume I will entertain people badmouthing my bosses, so if you have something negative to say about them, don’t bring it in my mentions please. Let’s respect each other. Hands off the Fergusons.”
Ferguson Films spokesperson and “The Queen” showrunner, Lauren Nel, has denied all allegations against the couple.
