Zodwa Wabantu: I’m Not Getting Married

It’s official – Zodwa Wabantu is no longer marrying her boyfriend of four years, Ntobeko Linda, and that their relationship is definitely over.

Earlier in May, the 33-year-old entertainer sent shockwaves throughout South Africa when she proposed to the 24-year-old banker at Eyadini Lounge in Durban.

Now, Wabantu – who briefly put her marriage plans on hold last month in order to focus on herself – revealed in a recent interview that she called off the wedding last Saturday, 27 July.

She said: “I cancelled the wedding. I am no longer getting married. Me and [Linda] are finished. We have split.”

Confirming that she separated from Linda a month ago – and hinting that fame drove a wedge between them – Wabantu explained: “I took a break from [Linda] and thought he would fight for me. But he was just quiet. I took that as a sign, and so it’s off now.”

When reached for comment, Linda merely said: “[Wabantu] knows the truth. I have no comment from my side.”
