Zuma Sends Babalwa a Special Birthday Message

South African socialite, Babalwa Mneno, has taken to social media to gush over a heartfelt birthday message she received from the country’s former president, Jacob Zuma.

Mneno celebrated her birthday on Saturday, 13 November, at Soweto’s luxurious club, Konka, surrounded by prominent figures, such as Julius Malema and Pearl Thusi.

However the highlight of it all was receiving a pre-recorded message from Msholozi, wishing her a happy birthday and praising her for her stand on pan-Africanism.

Bursting with excitement, the model wrote: “Which level of ‘I’m the girl I think I am’ is this one? I, Miss Babalwa Mneno, had the pleasure to receive a birthday message from our president JG Zuma! Like, I can’t even express how gratifying this was.”

She added: “Our former president took time from his schedule on Friday, dressed up in his famous ‘Tea-shirt’ [sic], and made this video to honour me for my birthday! Totally appreciated the beautiful speech on pan Africanism from a living pan Africanist!

Zuma’s daughter, Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla, personally delivered the message to Mneno during her birthday dinner.
