Celeb Twitter Round-Up: Penny Ntuli Joins Jozi FM

Meet the latest addition to Jozi FM – Penny Ntuli!

On Tuesday, 2 April, Ntuli confirmed on Instagram that she had begun work at the Gauteng-based radio station, where she’ll be hosting their daily mid-morning slot:

The news comes a week after the 26-year-old radio personality left Gagasi FM, for whom she worked for two years. The main reason behind her departure was that the station had offered to renew her contract, albeit only for a paltry monthly salary of R2 800.

“I felt unappreciated and disrespected, but calmed myself down and went back to negotiate with my superiors to ask for a salary review, but they refused,” Ntuli explained in an Instagram post last Monday, 25 March.

“It’s true I’m not coming back this year, but despite that, I’m very grateful to Gagasi FM for the opportunity [they gave me].”

Fast-forward back to Tuesday, 2 April, and she seems to be getting used to her new presenting role:

Judging from the video clip, she sounds a wee bit shaky, but first-time work nerves are going to be a given, plus she sounds a lot happier, too!

So far, fans on Twitter are impressed with Ntuli and are happy that she’s gotten another opportunity to do the thing she loves:

Indeed, it sounds like Gagasi FM’s loss is Jozi FM’s gain in this situation.
