DJ Cleo Resigns From Radio 2000
Music producer DJ Cleo has announced his resignation from “Radio 2000”.
The 46-year-old radio personality – real name Tlou Cleopas Monyepao – joined the SABC-owned radio station in April 2024, and hosted “The Eskhaleni Party”, a live deejaying session, every Friday and Saturday night.
Most recently, he announced his departure from the station via a statement posted to his Instagram account. Additionally, he confirmed that he had presented his final show last Saturday, 22 August.
“Making this decision wasn’t difficult at all,” he wrote. “I am choosing to refocus my energy on my music career, my family, my academic journey and, most importantly, my peace and mental health.”
Thanking his colleagues and the staff members at “Radio 2000”, as well as its listeners, DJ Cleo also wished the station “continued success” in the wake of his departure.
“I had an amazing 28 months on the job and will not taint it by saying anything else beyond this point, or on any platform.”
