DJ Sox’s Son, 10, Passes Away

DJ Sox is in mourning following the death of his ten-year-old son Busa.

The veteran deejay – real name Mbusi Sokhela – and his wife, Gloria, welcomed Busa in 2016. Tragically, the couple now face the heartbreak of saying goodbye to him far too soon.

On Wednesday, 14 October, DJ Sox took to his social media accounts to announce his son’s passing following a battle with pneumonia.

“On Sunday [11 October], I lost you at the tender age of just ten years, and my heart is broken,” he wrote. “You battled horrible pneumonia and spent two months in ICU on life support. My boy, you fought a good fight. You were so brave, and I am so proud of you.

“No parent can ever be ready for the pain of losing a child so young. I miss you more than words can explain, and it hurts knowing I won’t get to hold you again.”

Thanking his friends for their support during this “difficult time”, as well as the medical staff that attended Busa in his final days, DJ Sox signed off with a heartfelt goodbye to his son, who will be laid to rest this morning, Thursday 15 October.

“I love you, my boy. I’m going to miss you every day, and I will carry you in my heart for the rest of my life,” he wrote. “Rest peacefully, my precious son. I love you, Busa.”
