Third Arrest Made in Slain DJ Warras Case

September 10, 2026

A third person has been arrested in connection with the murder of popular media personality, Warrick “DJ Warras” Stock.

In December 2025, DJ Warras – who also ran a local security company – was assassinated in broad daylight outside Zambesi Building in Johannesburg, Gauteng, while overseeing security upgrades at the site. He was 40-years-old.

Forty-four-year-old Victor Majola, the alleged orchestrator of DJ Warras’ assassination, is currently in police custody. Joaquim Armando Pacula, a 25-year-old Mozambican national who previously pleaded guilty to murder, was sentenced to 25 years in prison.

Now, according to reports on Wednesday, 9 September, Hlengiwe Goodness Buthelezi has been arrested by KwaZulu-Natal police and was recently handed over to the authorities in Gauteng.

Buthelezi, a 40-year-old woman, is believed to have been Majola’s girlfriend. Additionally, she was a tenant at the Zambesi Building and passed on critical information about DJ Warras, including his vehicle details, to Majola before the ordered hit.

While the motive behind the assassination is unclear, local investigators claim that Majola and Buthelezi were illegally collecting rent from tenants for years at the aforementioned building. DJ Warras’ security company was called in to resolve the matter.

Majola is slated to appear in court next Friday, 18 September.
