Celeb Twitter Round-Up: Fans Check Out Tyla’s New Album Tracklist

July 16, 2026

Two years might seem like a lengthy period of time, but for Tyla stans, it’s an eternity! The internet is always greedy and ready for more from their favs and now that something new is on the horizon, her fans are chomping at the bit.

It’s been two years since the 24-year-old songstress released her eponymous album, and then in July 2025, she teased her next major output with “We Wanna Party”. The four-track extended play, as she described it, was meant to close the musical gap to her next album.

Now, Tyla has announced the track list of “APOP” via Instagram on Wednesday, 15 July. In the post, the video shows Tyla walking around a set with neon paint that spells out the tracks across walls, floor and even on herself.

The fanfare was all there, and people knew they’re about to eat gooood.

As always, there’s at least one party pooper. Luckily, such comments are few and far between all the online love for their gurl.

Meanwhile, over on Twitter/X, the online crowd got stuck into analysing the upcoming body of work that’s expected to drop next Friday, 24 July.

However, there was more scrutiny over there, as some were disappointed right off the bat, a few were plain confused, and others were left scratching their heads over the collaboration choices.

Jinne, you can see who listens to local music and who tries at least. Even the Americans in the comments were making attempts, but the addition of Swedish popstar Zara Larsson to the collabs was the cherry on the confuddled cake.

Nevertheless, Tyla’s supporters showed love, lots of it. So much of it that it drowned out the naysayers, the middle-of-the-road peeps and anyone unsure of the album’s potency.

No matter your opinion about the upcoming album, there’s no shortage of hype! Tyla isn’t one to be boxed in so this wide spread of tastes is about to give everyone a bit in a sumptuous musical buffet.

We know it’s going to be a hit, but next week, we find out how much of a boom it makes.
